 Dr. Amanda Donnelly is a consultant and a second-generation veterinarian with a diverse background in medicine, management, industry, speaking and business consulting.
Dr. Amanda L. Donnelly owns ALD Veterinary Consulting in Rockledge, Florida. She provides expertise to veterinary practices to help them achieve financial success through better client service, human resource management, standards, and marketing. She says the focus of her work is to help practices attain their business goals within a positive, rewarding culture.
Prior to starting her consulting firm, Dr. Donnelly served as a Technical Services Veterinarian in industry. She also has 15 years of experience in small animal practice and emergency medicine. In the latter capacity, Dr. Donnelly under took a successful turnaround for the emergency practice she ran within a large referral hospital that resulted in increased profitability, enhanced client service and a more satisfying practice culture.
Today, Dr. Donnelly says she finds her greatest satisfaction in helping practice owners solve their management problems and achieve their goals.
Dr. Donnelly is past president of the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association, and is an active member of the veterinary community and several veterinary groups. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Veterinary Practice Management Consultants & Advisors (AVPMCA).
Dr. Donnelly is a graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri, Columbia. She has an MBA from Baker University in Overland Park, Kansas and she also holds a certificate in Veterinary Practice Administration from the AAHA Veterinary Management Institute (VMI) at Purdue University.
Dr. Donnelly has published and spoken on a variety of practice management topics at regional and national veterinary conferences including NAVC, The ACVIM Forum, Texas VMA and Wild West Veterinary Conference. She is a popular, dynamic speaker who always provides practical information to her audiences. Dr. Donnelly was recently voted “Practice Management” Speaker of the Year for the 2007 NAVC.
Dr. Donnelly resides in Rockledge, Florida with her husband, Chris. They share their home with 3 lovable cats, Cosmo, Bucky and Franklin and two adorable, Papillons, Hannah and Chloe.
